Telecom Network Security Consultant (PT / Europe Remote)

• Actively participate in consulting projects related to mobile and fixed telecommunications networks, with a focus on network transformation, security assessment, and strategic consulting;
  
• Contribute to the design, planning, and evaluation of secure network solutions, ensuring a holistic technical approach that integrates business and technological requirements;
  
• Plan, coordinate, and—with the support of project teams—independently execute project activities, including risk assessments, security posture assessments, and compliance checks;
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to identify security requirements, define mitigation strategies, and support the implementation of solutions aligned with international cybersecurity standards;
  
• Support the development of project deliverables, including technical reports, risk assessments, and presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders within the scope of your responsibilities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery expectations.
  

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in security design, security operations, or security assessment of mobile and/or fixed telecommunications networks;
  
• Solid knowledge of network architectures, with experience in at least one of the following domains:
  
• Access Networks (RAN);
  
• Mobile Core (EPC, 5GC);
  
• Fixed Access/Core Networks;
  
• Transport Networks (e.g., IP/MPLS, WDM, Microwave);
  
• Satellite Infrastructure (VSAT) and Submarine Cable Systems;
  
• Edge Infrastructure and Telco Cloud, OSS/BSS, and network orchestration platforms.
  

• NIST SP 800 series;
  
• ISO/IEC 27001/2;
  
• 3GPP TS 33.xxx;
  
• GSMA FS.

• Familiarity with security tools for vulnerability verification, configuration validation, and compliance reporting (valued but not mandatory);
  
• Understanding of network security principles, traffic encryption, cryptographic protocols, and countermeasures against threats such as signal interception, spoofing, or interference (valued but not mandatory);
  
• Certifications in the telecommunications, Cloud, or cybersecurity sectors (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Red Hat, AWS, GCP, ISO 27001, CEH, CISSP) are highly valued but not mandatory;
  
• Experience with virtualization/containerization of network elements (VNF/CNF) and their lifecycle management will be valued;
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with critical thinking applied in complex environments;
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential in a client-facing consulting context;
  
• Autonomy, proactivity, and strong organizational and time-management abilities;
  
• Team spirit, collaborative mindset, and ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues;
  
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written;
  
• Academic background in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar;
  
• Availability to participate in international projects.
