Snowflake Data Engineer

At the Portugal Tech Hub, our client manages a large portfolio of Data Analytics applications running within a cloud mesh framework (Data Cloud). Snowflake is one of the key pillars, with 75+ SAP systems connected, covering several business areas.

Our client is currently experiencing a high volume of new change requests in the Sales and Finance data domains and is therefore seeking consulting support to achieve these objectives, specifically for development and support in Snowflake.

To meet these needs, we expect the service provider to offer the following competencies:

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Snowflake Developer and willingness to learn DBT
  
• Experience with SQL, including data analysis and data modeling
  
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  
• Consulting experience with a value-driven mindset
  
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  
• Good organizational skills (e.g., using Office productivity tools)
  
• Experience working with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
  
• Business-fluent English (written and spoken)
  

We give preference to providers that also demonstrate:

• Strong SQL expertise
  
• DBT knowledge
  
• Experience with agile frameworks
  
• Experience working with distributed teams and clients across multiple countries and time zones
  

Consultants assigned by the provider should have strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, particularly in customer-facing roles. It is mandatory for consultants to be business-fluent in English (both spoken and written).
