We are hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer for a project in Lisbon. You will be part of the Feature Activation team.

This team is responsible for enabling and managing the rollout of new features. Their scope often includes:
  • Developing backend logic and APIs that support feature toggling and configuration.
  • Ensuring safe and scalable deployment of new functionalities.
  • Working with product and QA teams to validate feature readiness.
  • Monitoring feature performance and user adoption post-release.

In the first 6 months there might the need to go to the client office 3x/week. 
After 6months, only 1x/week is needed. 

What will be your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop backend services using Java and AWS.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit).
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and cloud engineers to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for backend development.


Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend development with Java.
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS, especially AWS CDK.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
  • Solid B2 level of English (spoken and written).
