We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect – Telco Cloud Migration for a fully remote position, with occasional travel to the UK.

About the Role

You will be joining a pre-sales team working on a VMware Telco Cloud migration initiative, supporting the design and proposal of a migration solution towards either Red Hat or Nutanix. Once the solution is sold, you will continue as a key contributor through the design, build and full implementation phases, with the implementation expected to run throughout 2027.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with similar Telco Cloud migrations, understands the operational dynamics and challenges involved, and can contribute meaningfully from the pre-sales phase through to delivery.

The initial engagement runs from early October 2025 to end of 2025, with potential extension into 2027 and 2028.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the pre-sales team in designing a migration solution from VMware Telco Cloud to Red Hat or Nutanix.
  • Contribute to the technical proposal and solution architecture documentation.
  • Provide expertise on operational challenges and best practices for similar migrations.
  • Once the solution is sold, lead or contribute to the design, build and implementation of the full solution.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in Telco Cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware Telco Cloud migrations.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Nutanix as migration targets.
  • Understanding of the operational dynamics and challenges of large-scale cloud migrations in telco environments.
  • Ability to contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution design and technical proposals.
  • Based in Portugal or another EU location.
  • Professional fluency in English, written and verbal.
