We are looking for an Android Developer for a hybrid project, 3x week, in Lisbon.
You will be joining the team behind one of the most widely used apps in Portugal — an application that millions of people rely on almost every day. As a Mid-level Android Developer, you will be part of a dedicated team of 6 developers, embedded in a broader project team of around 60 people. You will play an active role in building and evolving this product, working with autonomy on both new features and bug fixing, while also supporting the growth of junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop new functionalities (evolutionary component) and fix anomalies (corrective component) in Android applications, participating in the design and implementation of technical solutions autonomously.
- Provide technical support in the development and onboarding of junior profiles within the team (mentoring and code review).
- Technically analyse already triaged bugs, performing advanced troubleshooting, implementing and testing the respective fixes.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Dailies, Plannings, Retrospectives) and in the detailed estimation of team tasks.
- Ensure the quality, security and performance of delivered code.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in mobile development, with a strong focus on the Android platform using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Solid experience and proficiency with Android Studio.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience applying Design Patterns and mobile architectures (e.g. MVVM).
- Practical experience with Android interface guidelines (e.g. Material Design) and proficiency in interpreting and working with mockups (e.g. Figma or similar).
- Solid hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Nice to have: Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Proficiency in Portuguese: written and spoken
