The service to be provided is focused on the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of cloud-native backend services built with Go (Golang) for Customer Interaction Portal (CIP), a global digital platform used by customers worldwide. The service aims to ensure a high-performing, scalable and reliable customer experience and will be delivered within Agile/Scrum teams, in close collaboration with Siemens frontend developers, product owners, architects and engineers.

To achieve this, we expect the following competences to be available at the service provider:

Development and maintenance of backend services using Go (Golang).
Implementation of scalable and resilient microservices supporting a global customer platform.
Integration between backend and frontend components, in close collaboration with frontend development teams.
Participation in technical discussions and contribution to solution design and implementation decisions.
Assurance of code quality through testing, code reviews and adherence to Siemens development standards.
Troubleshooting, defect resolution and performance optimization of the delivered services.
Active participation in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Delivery of new features and enhancements in collaboration with international teams

Requirements

To deliver the above competences, we considers relevant for the outsourcing company to assure consultants with a skillset and experience covering:

>2 years of experience developing applications with Go (Golang).
>2 years of overall backend software development experience.
Experience developing and maintaining microservices-based applications.
Experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Strong experience with Docker and containerized application development.
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, debugging and version control.
Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe.
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional development teams

We give preference to consultants that also demonstrate competences in:

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native solutions.
Experience in backend and frontend integration activities.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
