We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to technically evaluate cybersecurity technologies and components — both emerging and current — ensuring the organization adopts the solutions and controls that best meet its cybersecurity needs and requirements.

This role requires strong technical depth to enable detailed solution characterization, comparison, and informed decision-making. The professional will also be responsible for documenting test results and producing both High-Level and Low-Level Designs for the selected solutions.

Additionally, the Cybersecurity Engineer will monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and cybersecurity threats, contributing to the continuous evolution of the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Perform technical evaluations of cybersecurity technologies and components.
Ensure proposed technologies and controls align with organizational cybersecurity requirements.
Conduct deep technical assessments to allow detailed characterization and comparison of solutions.
Document executed tests and support the definition of the solution to be implemented.
Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
Track emerging technologies, market trends, and cybersecurity threats.
Contribute to the evolution and definition of the organization’s transversal cybersecurity strategy.

Requirements

Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience recognized in Portugal.
Relevant experience in technological areas and/or engineering.
Relevant experience in identifying, characterizing, and managing cybersecurity risks (e.g., conducting cybersecurity assessments).
Relevant experience in technology risk management.
Leadership skills and strong teamwork capabilities.
Ability to manage conflicts and coordinate multidisciplinary working groups.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Proactivity, pragmatism, and initiative.
Resilience, adaptability to change, and ability to manage ambiguous situations.
Critical thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
Autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving.
