DevOps Engineer

Job description

This is a full time, remote-working role in a well-established product team.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will build, improve and support our development and test environment primarily based in Microsoft Azure.

Description of the role:

- Reporting to the DevOps manager, your focus will be to build, improve and support our development and test environment primarily based in Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, daily test server builds and helping to further automate and optimize the current environment, from process to architecture. It is imperative that you will be current with the latest technologies, approaches and industry best practices.

What you will be doing:

- Over the next 12 months we are launching a cloud product which requires a resilient, scalable, and efficient architecture to be designed, built and supported. This is something you will have experience of and help to input and design its architecture, implementation, and support. The architecture will evolve over time from a single tenant solution to a multi-tenant, cloud native platform. At all stage’s automation will be used to ensure that processes are repeatable and efficient. Business continuity, security, monitoring and automated testing will be built in from the start.

You will work closely with both the testing and development teams in an agile environment, to understand their needs and recommend the best processes and technologies to meet these. Other members of the team will be working remotely from you in both the UK and across Eastern Europe. An ability to self-manage and self-motivate is essential. Communication will be a key skill to enable you to work effectively with the rest of the team and understand cross-impacts. You must be flexible enough to adapt to a rapidly changing development landscape, whilst managing your time effectively to be able to meet deadlines.

The department also owns various initiatives for efficiencies and security improvements, so various projects outside the strict scope of DevOps are also involved, including Microsoft 365.

There is no limit to how involved you can be in the development of Dashworks. There are many moving parts and you will always be able to find something new to get involved with. We are very interested in finding new ways of improving, so your opinions and innovations will always be welcome.
