Job description

  • Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring system availability and stability.
  • Administer user accounts and access permissions for systems and applications, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Implement and maintain security policies in Windows environments; manage FortiGate firewalls and Akamai domains.
  • Conduct security testing using tools such as Wazuh to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Deploy and manage Office 365 environments to support business productivity.
  • Monitor backup and recovery systems, performing regular tests to ensure data protection and reliability.
  • Oversee SIEM systems (Splunk and Elastic Search) for security event monitoring and incident response.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on systems, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and WiFi routers.
  • Administer virtualized environments (VMware) and containerized applications using Docker to support scalability.


Requirements

- Proven experience with SQL Server database administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls in IT environments.
- Solid understanding of security policies implementation and firewall management (FortiGate).
- Familiarity with domain management (Akamai) and security testing tools such as Wazuh.
- Experience deploying and managing Office 365 platforms.
- Knowledge of backup & recovery systems and procedures, including performing tests.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, specifically Splunk and Elastic Search.
- Excellent documentation skills for system processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in automation using PowerShell scripting and configuration tools like Ansible.
- Network administration skills, including configuration of firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Experience managing virtualized environments using VMware and container technologies like Docker.
- Ability to stay current with new technologies and security best practices.
