Job description

We are hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer for a project in Lisbon. You will be part of the Feature Activation team.

This team is responsible for enabling and managing the rollout of new features. Their scope often includes:

Developing backend logic and APIs that support feature toggling and configuration.
Ensuring safe and scalable deployment of new functionalities.
Working with product and QA teams to validate feature readiness.
Monitoring feature performance and user adoption post-release.

In the first 6 months there might the need to go to the client office 3x/week.

After 6months, only 1x/week is needed.

What will be your Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop backend services using Java and AWS.
Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit).
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and cloud engineers to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for backend development.

Requirements

Strong experience in backend development with Java.
Solid hands-on experience with AWS, especially AWS CDK.
Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
Solid B2 level of English (spoken and written).
