Senior Backend Java Developer in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)

Job description

We are looking for a professional who combines strong technical knowledge of Java web backend development platforms for AEM (and, secondarily, frontend) with communication, collaboration, and autonomy skills.

Additionally valued is the ability to use generative AI tools throughout the software development cycle (to support code writing, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation), always ensuring critical thinking, rigorous validation, and respect for security and confidentiality principles.

The person will join the Agile Squad responsible for the development and evolution of NOS's institutional websites which — beyond being fundamental digital marketing instruments — are also sales channels for products and services. It is a highly dynamic squad with high visibility across the various levels of the company.

Background:

Higher-education degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Professional certifications appreciated.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in web development technologies, preferably in corporate environments and large-scale projects.

Requirements

Technical Knowledge:

Strong analytical and abstraction ability, for designing application solutions grounded in the principles and best practices of application architecture in a complex, large-scale environment with Microservices, cloud SaaS, etc. (mandatory)
Strong capability and productivity in Java application development (mandatory);
Knowledge/experience in the development and integration of SOAP/REST APIs and WebServices (mandatory);
Knowledge/experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Maven, GIT, Selenium, Jenkins, or equivalents (preferred);
Knowledge/experience with Content Delivery Infrastructure (CDN), Web Delivery Optimization (caching), and Web Server Configuration/Management (desirable);
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Java (desirable);
Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Node.js (optional);
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) (mandatory);
Knowledge/experience in the application domains below:

Adobe AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
Adobe Target
Microsoft SharePoint (desirable)

Knowledge / Experience in AI Applied to Development:

Use of generative AI tools for development (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalents) for:

generation and refactoring of Java/backend code,
creation of unit and integration tests,
support for writing scripts, queries, and technical configurations;

Use of AI to support log analysis, stack traces, and troubleshooting in Java/Web applications, accelerating diagnosis and root-cause identification;
Use of AI for the production and maintenance of technical documentation (READMEs, specifications, API usage examples, configuration snippets), ensuring consistency and clarity;
Ability to apply best practices and quality criteria in the use of AI, namely:

systematic validation of suggestions (testing, code review, comparison with internal standards),
attention to security, privacy, and intellectual-property risks,
alignment with internal responsible-AI usage policies.
