QA Tester (Junior)

Job description

Execute end-to-end testing on the application (front-end, back-end, and across multiple flows) according to the defined test cases.
Perform exploratory testing to identify (and force) unexpected behaviors, integration failures between different components and external systems, and usability issues.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and the technical team to write clear and comprehensive test cases based on business requirements.
Log defects clearly and comprehensively (steps, context, evidence) and follow up on their resolution lifecycle.
Work closely with the QA Automation Engineer, identifying manual flows and exploratory tests that should be converted into automated scripts.
Participate in refinement sessions and demos, bringing the quality assurance and end-user perspective.

Requirements

Must Have:

Initial experience (professional, internships, or academic projects) in software testing or quality assurance.
Basic understanding of software development lifecycles and testing types (functional, regression, end-to-end, exploratory).
Ability to follow test cases while also thinking “outside the box” to identify undocumented or unexpected issues. Understanding of user flows and test scenarios.
Strong written communication skills for defect reporting and team feedback.
Basic usage of tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and version control systems (Git).

Nice to Have:

Basic knowledge of API testing, business flows, and web applications (browsers, developer tools, testing across different environments, SQL, etc.).
Good communication skills with development and product teams.
Proactive mindset in identifying non-obvious testing scenarios.
Knowledge of payment solutions, instant payments, or mission-critical financial systems.
Knowledge of payment standards and formats (e.g., ISO 20022, SEPA Instant).
