Job description

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner / IT Project Manager to support a large international IT transformation program within a global organization.

The role combines IT Project Management, Product Ownership, and Application Ownership responsibilities, supporting the delivery of a new platform through multiple deployment waves and ensuring a smooth transition into BAU (Business As Usual) operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and working with technical stakeholders in an international English-speaking environment.

Work model: Hybrid – Lisbon, Portugal (2 days/week onsite)

Deliverables and Goals

Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and roadmap. Translate business needs into clear user stories and actionable requirements.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement).
Coordinate development, business, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
Manage project planning, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
Coordinate application interfaces and integrations with technical teams.
Support the transition from project delivery to BAU operations, including application ownership and support processes.
Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership.

Requirements

Senior IT Project Manager / Product Owner background (7+ years preferred).
Strong Agile and product management expertise.
Experience with technical environments, APIs, integrations, and application lifecycle management.
English proficiency required.

Nice to have:

Appian experience Mulesoft / Informatica / ETL knowledge
PSPO/CSPO certification
Portuguese/French language skills
