Platform Architect (EU-based)

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Platform Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade platform solutions. This is a full remote position, based in Europe, and European Union citizenship is required

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with middleware platforms, containerization technologies, and cloud-native architectures. This is a strategic role requiring a strong mix of hands-on technical expertise, systems thinking, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business domains.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, implement, and manage enterprise middleware platforms such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, ServiceBus, SOA, and Tuxedo
Integrate and optimize LAMP stack technologies within enterprise environments
Design and deploy solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
Ensure systems are highly available, resilient, and secure
Define platform standards aligned with cloud-native principles and DevOps best practices
Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system requirements and deliver scalable platform solutions
Document architectural decisions and promote knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in platform and middleware architecture
In-depth expertise in platforms including:
Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, ServiceBus, SOA, Tuxedo
Strong experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl)
Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices
Proven experience with cloud-native architecture and platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Structured, detail-oriented, and innovative mindset
Excellent communication skills across technical and business teams
Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
European Union citizenship is required
