Job description

As a key member of the IT team, the Murex MxML Developer will be instrumental in driving the enhancement and optimization of our Murex platform. The candidate will work within the Capital Markets division, focusing on developing, configuring, and maintaining the Murex environment to support our trading, risk management, and settlement activities.

For this position its necessary to be 3 days/per week at our client office, in Porto.


Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Murex-related components and workflows.
  • Perform Murex configuration for front-to-back office operations, including trade capture, pre-trade/post-trade rules, confirmations, settlements, accounting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Conduct Murex version upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for the Murex environment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.


Requirements

Main Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Murex development.
  • Proficiency in Murex 3.1 modules, including Datamart, MXML, and MLC.
  • Strong experience with Murex integration, including MxML Exchange workflows and API development.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and front-to-back trade lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
