Junior Business Tester

Job description

Business Tester to work as a Scrum Team Member with primary responsibility in testing. Drive test activities within the test areas defined in the Workstream.

Ensure the testing tasks are scheduled and documented during Release and iteration planning

Raise bugs effectively and provide effective defect descriptions and learn from rejected defects. Actively drive bug resolution and bug prevention

Apply exploratory testing techniques, besides testing the Acceptance Criteria

Provide QA effort estimations in refinement and Sprint Planning Meetings.

Requirements

Tasks and Responsabilities

-Execution of certain testing activities defined in the QA framework

-Plan and execute effective tests / test cases using appropriate tools and processes defined

-Define and maintain appropriate test data

-Collaborate with Developers, Technical Architect and Proxy Product Owner to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness

-Contribute to effective User Stories (including Acceptance Criteria)

-Actively support the implementation of test automation capabilities

-Create and execute regression tests after every new build is deployed

-Assist in establishing a QA mindset

-Participate actively in Sprint retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
-Between 1 to 2 years of proven working experience as a Tester in the information technology sector
-Understands testing practices of desktop applications and web-based applications architectures.
-Knowledge and experience of working within an Agile environment
-Experience in Test Management tools: Quality Center, Jira tools Automation test basic knowledge (not mandatory)
-Attentive to detail and highly organized
-Written and spoken English
