Job description

The consultant will be responsible for the administration, support, and enhancement of our JIRA environments. This includes, but is not limited to:

Coordinating with the primary JIRA Product for planning and implementing JIRA and plug-in upgrades.
- Monitoring and maintaining JIRA databases, including data transfer between PROD and TEST instances.
- Providing training and ongoing support to end-users on JIRA and Confluence functionalities.
- Evaluating, testing, and installing JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determining licensing needs.
- Managing system performance, including server monitoring and performance tuning.

Goals and deliverables

In this context, the Service will join the CIO department.

Reporting to the CIO IT Business Applications Domain Manager, the service will collaborate in:

System Administration:
- Administer JIRA, Confluence, environments on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure systems are stable and available, addressing user issues promptly.

User Support and Training:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on JIRA/Confluence usage.
- Create training materials and support documentation.

Integration and Migration:
- Analyze current configurations and manage migrations to new instances.
- Integrate JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian tools with the company's IT landscape.

Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor server usage and performance, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports to support business processes.

Requirements Definition & Functional Specification:
- Define requirements and functional specifications for enhancements and non-standard requests.
- Coordinate with users’ communities to gather insights and feedback.

Access Control:
- Manage access control, including habilitation and technical control.
- Development and Software Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the development of applications, including dev, test, support UAT, and technical specifications.
- Manage the software lifecycle, including release management, refresh, and non-regression testing.
- IT BAU Management:

Manage IT BAU operations, including governance, coordination, license management.
- Handle IT incident management, IT monitoring, change management.

Requirements

Mandatory:
• 3-5 years of expertise with JIRA administration.
• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• Expertise with Agile teams.
• JQL, and Atlassian Plugin Development.

Optional:
• Expertise with JIRA “Data center platform” solution
• Expertise with Core Java.

Technical Expertise:
• Thorough understanding of Agile methodologies, including Kanban, Scrum, and SAFe, to effectively support and optimize daily usage across various team setups
• JIRA Administration: Proficient in configuring and managing JIRA projects, custom fields, and plug-ins.
• Documentation: Proven expertise in generating clear and concise documentation for workflows and processes to support operational excellence.
• API and Webhooks: Strong understanding of JIRA APIs and webhooks for seamless integrations and automations (optional).
• Atlassian Tools: Expertise with Confluence, providing support and optimizing functionalities.
• Technical Expertise: Implement custom XML-based JIRA gadgets and configure complex screen schemes (optional).

• English environment is mandatory
