Job description

We are looking for an experienced FinOps Practitioner to join our team in Lisbon.

The ideal candidate has a solid command of the FinOps Foundation framework and a proven track record in implementing and operating FinOps practices across cloud environments. This is a critical-priority role requiring immediate availability and a high level of autonomy.

Responsibilities

Design and implement processes that support the FinOps practice across all three framework phases: Inform, Optimize, and Operate
Drive cloud cost visibility, accountability, and optimisation initiatives across the organisation
Collaborate with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to embed FinOps culture and best practices
Monitor and report on cloud spend, usage, and efficiency metrics
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements in cloud environments
Support eventual client engagements, including occasional travel abroad (1–2 times per year)

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience implementing and operating the FinOps Foundation framework
In-depth knowledge of the Inform, Optimize, and Operate phases of the FinOps lifecycle
Mandatory certification: FinOps Certified Practitioner
Solid experience in Cloud FinOps (Azure, AWS, GCP, or equivalent)
Proficiency in English (mandatory)
European nationality required
