DevSecOps Engineer — Senior Level URGENT

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our engineering team in a highly strategic capacity. This role is pivotal in the implementation of security recommendations across the organisation, while actively supporting sales, compliance, and delivery teams in the context of Audits and RFPs. This is a priority hire that will have a direct impact on the security posture and engineering maturity of a fast-growing global insurtech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of security recommendations across engineering pipelines and infrastructure
  • Support sales, compliance, and delivery teams during audits and RFP processes
  • Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines (shift-left security)
  • Define and enforce DevSecOps standards, policies, and best practices
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat modelling, and risk analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and compliance stakeholders
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents within the development lifecycle


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a DevSecOps or Security Engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with security tooling: SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar)
  • Exposure to audit and RFP processes from a technical security perspective
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent English — mandatory (written and spoken)
