Job description

The service to be provided will be part of Data integration team working on integrating applications within different business areas of Client´s Digital Industries, specifically focusing on Deliver Chain.

The Data Streaming platform is based using an event driven architecture and leveraging tools available on Client´s technological landscape like Apache Kafka (Confluent), Kong and Flink.

This role as DevOps / Platform Engineer will be working on enhancing reliability and improving the developer experience by contributing and maintaining the core platform used by developers, and by implementing robust DevOps practices.

Therefore, bridge the gap between development and operations to manage infrastructure proactively, performance, and incidents for the Data integration platform.

Their daily tasks often involve ensuring the observability of the platform through robust logging and monitoring solutions, as they are crucial in incident response, resolving issues, and handling service requests efficiently.

They also oversee data streaming and messaging systems. Additionally, a key part of this role, is automating the software delivery lifecycle through CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Mid-Level - Databases (relation and non-relational), Data Structures (json, xml) and using SQL
Mid-Level - Cloud APIs to automate provisioning, deployment, improving system performance and infrastructure scaling (eg: terraform, Kubernetes, docker)
Mid-Level - Programming skills, scripting and automation experience (e.g.: Python)
Mid-Level - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) based application development, including source control systems (git)
Mid-Level - DevOps experience, preferably applied as Platform Engineer role
Mid-Level - AWS services (e.g.: S3, Elastic Computing)
Mid-Level - APIs/Connectors like OpenAPI Spec, (e.g.: Kong, Confluent Connectors)
Mid-Level - Monitoring and Observability knowledge and experience. Datadog proficiency is highly appreciated
