DevOps Platform Engineer (AWS)

Lisboa

Job description

DevOps Platform Engineer - Service Platform Development and Operations

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Arrangement: Hybrid ( 1 day/week at the office; 3 days/semester for workshops/hackathons)

Service Description:

The service to be provided will be part of the integration team working on the DART platform service. • CI/CD & Pipeline Support (validate, maintain and extend GitLab CI/CD helper jobs and support scripts)
  • Operations Team Enablement (develop and maintain operational runbooks and diagnostic scripts for incident response)
  • Transformation App Configuration Support (QuickEvents-APPs – Python / ECS Fargate)
  • API Configuration Support (QuickData-APIs – Lambda / Terraform)
  • AWS & Secret Management Support

Requirements:

  • Mid-Level DevOps experience, preferably in platform engineering, data engineering roles
  • Mid-LevelAWS Cloud Expertise – EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch (preference to AWS certificates)
  • Mid-Level – Programming skills, Python or Bash/Zsh for automation scripts and infrastructure tooling (file I/O, REST API calls, CLI tools, data transformation)
  • Mid-Level CI/CD Systems – Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
  • Mid-Level – Version Control: Git workflows, pipelines, conventional commits, and merge requests
  • Mid-Level – Background in a platform team or operational support role
  • Junior Level – Streaming platforms: Kafka or event streaming concepts (topics, consumers, producers)
  • Junior Level – Experience with Confluent Cloud or the Confluent CLI
  • Junior Level – Experience with data platform infrastructure and database operations: databases (relational and non-relational), data structures (JSON, XML) and using SQL
  • Junior Level – AWS Lambda configuration and AWS ECS or container orchestration
