DevOps Junior — Break Into DevOps and Learn the Toolchain Every Engineer Wants on Their CV

Most junior developers spend years writing code before anyone lets them near the systems that ship it. This role skips that wait.

You'll join our engineering team as a DevOps Junior, and from day one you'll work hands-on with the professional CI/CD toolchain — Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and GitLab — the exact stack that serious engineering organizations run on, and the skills that turn a junior CV into an in-demand one within a couple of years.

What you'll actually do:

Automate the way we release software — build tools that make the entire engineering team faster on every deployment. Your work gets used constantly.
Develop simulators and apps for terminals — real software talking to real systems, not throwaway exercises.
Turn manual processes into automation — find the tedious, repetitive things and make them disappear.
Work in a real SCRUM team — learn modern Agile delivery properly, from people who do it every day.
Support and improve our engineering tooling — Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, GitLab — you'll learn each one deeply by working with it.

Requirements

Why this is a great first (or second) step:

You keep coding. You'll write real Java — this isn't a role where you stop being a developer, it's one where you become a more complete one.
You learn the full picture. From build tools (Maven/Ant) and version control (Git) to the systems layer (AIX/Linux), you'll understand how software is built, shipped, and run — end to end.
You grow fast. "Willingness to learn" is in our requirements because growth is the point of this role. You'll be given room to learn, not just to deliver.

What we're looking for:

Some development experience in an object-oriented language — ideally Java
Basic SQL knowledge
Curiosity about automation, and the drive to figure things out
A team player who communicates well and stays organized

Nice to have (but we'll teach you the rest): Git, Maven/Ant, any exposure to deployment automation or AIX/Linux.
