About the Project

We are launching a strategic core banking transformation project, involving the migration of legacy systems in Progress OpenEdge to Oracle Flexcube.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Data Migration Specialist who will play a key role in executing migration scripts, ensuring the quality, integrity, and consistency of data throughout all phases of the process.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure, and optimize data migration scripts from Progress OpenEdge to Oracle Flexcube, focusing on areas such as Customers, Accounts, and Contracts.
Perform data loads across different environments (development, testing, and production) and monitor their execution.
Ensure data integrity, quality, and reconciliation by implementing validation tests and consistency checks.
Collaborate closely with DBA teams, integration architects, and business units to align processes with defined architectures and requirements.
Document procedures and outcomes of each migration cycle, preparing quality and compliance reports.
Support the team in identifying and resolving migration issues (data corrections, load errors, entity dependencies).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of migration processes and the definition of best practices.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in developing data migration scripts, preferably in a banking context.
Knowledge of Progress OpenEdge (including creating OpenQuerys, data extraction, dumps, queries) and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL).
Experience in handling large-scale data and complex migration processes.
Ability to validate and reconcile data, ensuring compliance with target models.
Fluency in Portuguese (mandatory) and proficiency in English (intermediate level, spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in migrations to Oracle Flexcube.
Knowledge of ETL tools.
Familiarity with banking processes.
