Job description

  • Lead discovery sessions and needs assessments with clients’ technical teams and decision-makers (CTO, CIO, CISO);
  • Design hybrid cloud and private cloud architectures, primarily based on VMware, integrated with Azure or AWS where applicable;
  • Develop managed services proposals (ITIL, SLA, NOC) and cloud adoption roadmaps aligned with clients’ business objectives;
  • Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and create compelling technical and commercial proposals, including TCO and ROI analyses;
  • Present and defend solutions to client stakeholders alongside an Account Manager or Business Developer;
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements (GDPR, NIS2, data residency);
  • Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Operations teams throughout the entire opportunity lifecycle;
  • Represent Claranet in customer workshops, technical events, and community initiatives.


Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical pre-sales, or a combination of both — within an MSP, systems integrator, or technology vendor environment;
  • Proven experience working directly with clients: requirements gathering, solution design, proposal writing, and solution defense;
  • Experience responding to RFPs and managing the full opportunity lifecycle, from qualification through contract signing;
  • Private cloud infrastructure expertise: VMware (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) or equivalent virtualization platforms (Nutanix, Hyper-V, OpenStack) — at architecture and design level, not only operational;
  • Public cloud expertise: Azure (preferred) and/or AWS — architecture, landing zones, and hybrid connectivity;
  • Managed services design: ITIL frameworks, SLA modeling, and NOC/SOC service structures;
  • Security and compliance knowledge: GDPR, NIS2, data residency, and data sovereignty requirements;
  • Commercial mindset: TCO, ROI, and business case development as part of the proposal process;
  • Candidates without direct customer-facing or pre-sales experience will not be considered for this position.

Certifications:

  • VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure (Associate or Architect level), or equivalent AWS certification — at least one active certification is expected;
  • Additional certifications (ITIL, Security, FinOps) are valued but not mandatory;
  • Executive communication skills — ability to adapt technical messaging to C-level audiences without losing technical depth;
  • Structured thinking — comfortable dealing with ambiguity and capable of building solutions from incomplete briefs;
  • Interest in IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and FinOps — willingness to grow in these areas is valued more than prior mastery;
  • Participation in technical communities, events, or content creation initiatives.
