Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst, to allocate to one of our clients, a technology multinational company present in different areas of business, such as communications, infrastructure, transport, and health care.

The candidate will act as a mediator between business and technology, proposes novel solutions and improves the overall quality of services and business operations. Furthermore, they are fully cognizant of the recent technological developments, have a thorough understanding of the procedures and best practices of their domain and possesse exceptional communication abilities.

The BA has grasp over application design, implementation and development concepts, they document and model data, participate in project management activities, conduct quality assurance and control, liaise with different stakeholders and are responsible to make sure that underlying technology is able to address the business issues.

Moreover, the analyst is involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems. The analyst interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. The analyst gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements.

Daily activities mainly in Lisbon (PT), with virtual team spread worldwide with some need to travel (up to 25% of the time).

Tasks and responsibilities:

Supports the Scrum management processes for each team
Writes User Stories according to the template and validates it with the Developer
Assists the PO (potentially also the Functional Consultant) in the solution planning and definition (to-be design)
Validate the solution with the stakeholders to ensure that the solution satisfies the Requirements
Participate in Backlog selection and Sprint Planning meetings and support Sprint Reviews
Preferred: Sales and CRM experience
Preferred: Salesforce experience
Solid technical understanding to break-down business requirements into technical specifications (user stories)
Expertise in conceptual modeling; ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions
Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Ability to facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions
Ability to ask strong questions to help the team see areas that may lead to problems
Understanding of the agile development process
Familiarity with requirements techniques such as, user stories, use cases, and informal modeling

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
Proven work experience as Business Analyst with 3 up to 5 years of experience
Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information, Communication skills, Staffing, Problem Solving, Developing Budgets, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Quality Management
Written and spoken English on proficient level is a must, additional language like German is a plus
Agile certifications are a plus
